Research findings

In 2007, The National Autistic Society commissioned a research paper into the relationship between Thomas & Friends and children with autism. This concluded that children with autism associate more strongly with Thomas & Friends than any other children's TV show characters. Thomas’ bright colours and clear facial expressions make him easy to identify and relate to, helping many children with speech, communication and imaginative play.
